Sneak Peek of Our Bonus Card at the Retreat!

We had an amazing time at our retreat!  I treated everyone to eight projects plus a bonus card that we made one on  one.  It was an impossible card!  Part of the group made Halloween cards and half made Christmas cards!  Once you perfect the technique, these are great fun to make.  Everyone was designing their own and one was just cuter than the next!

WIshing You Well - What's New At Stampin' Up! Blog Hop!

IMG_2491
Hello Again!  Thanks for joining our blog hop!  We are a group of demonstrators from around the world that are HOPPIN' with new ideas with sets from the new Holiday Mini Catalog!  The set I used this month is a real sleeper!  You could just slide right by it when you are looking through the catalog, but oh my!  Does it make the best cards and they are quick and easy!  Just one stamp makes lighter and darker images that makes it appear as if some leaves are behind the other and the bow looks just like see through lace.  One note of caution though, use a light touch and do not overload the stamps with too much ink!  Follow those rules and you will adore this set and its sentiments!

It's Like Magic! Reversible Broadway Bound Paper Makes an Awesome Card on Either Side!

I know!  I know!  Where have I been?  Gone, is the answer!  Retirement just offers too many fun things to do and I want to do them all! Travel, travel, travel and fun, fun, fun! The card below is one we made this summer at one of my Coffee and a Card classes.  I gave everyone the DSP and cardstock to make the card but I did not give them the materials to make the outside of the banner or words.  I had one card like below and one in a gold version and asked them to pick which one they wanted to make.  If they picked the gold one, I gave them a pieces of gold for their banner and words, but if they wanted the red and green, I gave them a piece of black for the banner and green for the words.  Those that picked GOLD always said, "But you didn't give me the DSP to make the gold one!"  I said, "Turn your DSP over!"  And Ta DA!  The materials for a gold card.  I LOVE the Broadway Bound DSP!  Try it!  You will be amazed!

Designer's Series Paper is on Sale! - What's New at SU Blog Hop!

IMG_2491

Thanks for joining our blog hop again!  We are a group of demonstrators from all around the world that are HOPPIN' with exciting ways to use the Designer's Series Paper that is on sale this month!  I must say my favorite papers that are on sale this month are Nature's Poem, Wood Grain and Tropical Chic.  I have used the Nature's Poem on so many cards that I decided to challenge myself to use a design of paper from the pack that I have not used so far.  I love the use of Crumb Cake and Mint Medley with a leaf pattern on this piece.  I decided that Tranquil Tide went well with that combination!

I adore the Botanical Tags Thinlets in the catalog too!  The three tag images are beautiful and it takes little effort to make both gift tags and cards with them.  The little spray of leaves goes everywhere!  Hope you enjoy this sympathy card!  Click on the link below to go to the next blog on our Hop!
