I Love This Designer's Series Paper!!!

My first love is anything with a heart on it.  My favorite aunt and uncle were George and Lucy Hart.  Every time I find something with a heart on it, it reminds me of these special people.  My second love is anything shiny!  So when I first saw this gold embellished DSP, I was immediately in love!  

Today I am sharing my Valentine I sent out this year.  It combines my two favorite things! Hearts and shiny things!    The gold foil, gold Embossing powder, gold embellished DSP and heart dies make a beautiful card with little effort.  Almost all of the papers in this packet can be interchanged to create equally beautiful projects.  Below are two examples of the same card using different versions of the papers.  Take the Valentine sentiment out and this could be a wedding, anniversary or birthday card for someone you love!

The gold on gold heart creates a stunning focal point.  The card is cut 4 1/4 by 11 inches.  Then it is scored at 4  1/4, 7 and 9 3/4 inches.  I used Calypso Coral and Rich Raspberry ink to create the layered sentiment.  The inside is created by layering coordinating papers leaving one section open for the sentiment.  Enjoy this clever and quick paper engineered fold!

 

 

Happy Valentine's Day!

...and more chocolate!  I love how the Giradelli chocolates come in all kinds of colors to coordinate with our Designer's Series Papers!  I also love to emboss gold on gold and silver on silver!  It is just stunning!  These are treats we made in our Valentine's class.  I cannot wait to leave them as surprises at my mom's senior living complex.  Nothing better than finding a little treat outside your door to brighten up your day!

 

Color Fuser February Blog Hop

 

February, the month to celebrate love!  That was the inspiration for this card using the Sweet and Sassy Thinlets dies as well as the Born to be Loved stamp set.  The sweetheart Embossing Folder creates a nice texture for the hearts to be placed on.  The Silver Mini Sequins add a really pretty embellishment to highlight the silver Embossing.  Happy Valentine's Day!
