New Catalog Posts!

After being gone for several weeks and anxiously waiting for the new catalog, I finally have a few preorder sets to play with as well as a new catalog to oogle!  Now time to play and post!  I designed several cards with the Lovely Friends thinlets and will post one a week to show you the versatility of these dies,  I literally had all three cards designed in one hour!  The first mixes both new catalog items with words from the soon to be retired mini catalog.

The thinlets spell out HUGS, FRIEND and LOVELY and pair with the shape sets.  The new Delightful Daisy DSP has so many varieties of colors and designs, that I have used it for everything from a snow card to spring and summer.  Love it!  The scallop is from my new Seasonal Layers Thinlets which are my favorite new item in the catalog!

Quick and Easy Card Using the Same Materials as Monday's Post!

You are in a hurry!  No card or quick birthday card?   I opt for a quick and easy birthday card like this!  Just a sentiment, quick cut, matching DSP and the balloon punch.  

 

 

 

 

March Color Fusers Blog Hop!

This month's challenge looks so spring like to me!  I am still using the DSP packs that are so versatile and provide so many pieces of each color that you can easily make a bunch of each card.  Balloon Adventures Stamp Set and Balloon Thinlet Pop Ups make an easy and fast Birthday card!  We will be making a version of this card at our April stamp camp.  Join us if you want to see how easy this is to make!

I will post directions later.  I know I cut the cardstock 4 1/4 by 11.  I believe I scored it at 2 1/4 from each side.  I know the inside section with the balloons on it is also 2 1/4 wide.  That leaves the small sections at 2 1/8 each.   The DSP was 2 by four inches.  A great way to use scraps!

A Pop of Striped Color!

I am not a fan of anything remotely orange unless it is Halloween, but I have friends that love it.  This card is actually Watermelon Wonder but it looks very red orange to me.  I know someone that would love this card though.  It sure packs a punch when you pull it out of the envelope!  Just had to use the stripe somewhere!  I think it works!   Do you?

Designer's Series Paper Packs Are Great!

This is the first of four cards I designed with this paper!  I just had to use the lace from the Saleabration sets before they are history!   I went out of my comfort zone and used mint macaron paper with black.  I am pretty happy with the result! I used the larger lace on next week's post and LOVE it!  Stay tuned on Tuesdays.
